Employees can make the firm

Most of us have seen examples of lawyers who treat their employees poorly and, unsurprisingly, get poor performance and indifferent attitudes in return.

A new article from Jeff Weaver discussed some of the many reasons this behavior is short-sighted, at best, and can be downright harmful to your firm.

The fact is, your staff is the first point of contact clients and potential clients have with your firm. When they excel, your clients can be put at ease and have an easier time explaining their legal issues to you; surly staff or unhelpful employees can mean you waste valuable time apologizing instead of lawyering.
